Just logged into Ladbrokes where I still have some money sitting to check a price, clicked on the odds boost and it went from $4.50 to $4.60

Talk about a pathetic excuse for a betting company, they want your money but only if you lose  emthdown

Last weekend I went for the Ladbrokes odds boost on Jameka at $3.20 and the odds boost went to $3.50. So I went to have $400 on at the $3.50 and the "odds have changed" banner came up and the best price I could get was $3.00.

I didn't take the odds and went to Sportsbet and they had Jameka at $3.10 and with their odds boost I got set for my $400 at $3.40.

Only one way to stop the parasites at Ladbrokes and that is, just don't bet with them. MY LADBROKES ACCOUNT IS NOW CLOSED.

William Hill offering bonus bets (up to $55) in races 1 to 4 this week at Randwick if your horse doesn't win but runs in the first half of the field. NSW only.

3 nine horse fields (2nd to 5th) and the 16 horse country championship.

Offer certainly available to residents other than S.A.  W.A. and NSW to a limit of $50.

I haven't closed mine yet although every so often I go and check an odds boast before opting out. I've been holding out for something coming up so I can go whack and then close it on them.  ;)

I hope your plonk comes off Gintara. You have certainly put enough into the racing industry to get a well rewarded return. Good luck mate.

What a day for mad bookie to change over to a NT licence - they're unable to offer odds on the big Raceday at Randwick

Of course there is no mention of it on the website....... Very unprofessional!

Geez those assessors at Ladbrokes know what they are doing.

Their "Lay Of The Week" special, High Midnight bled and run last.

Too good for me  :wavecry:

I was mucking around with the Ladbrokes app through the week.

Without logging in I selected a dog and added the odds boast which went from $4 to $4.60 but if I logged in and applied it the same dog only went to $4.20

What a pathetic mob they are! This is customer service at it's finest, they are nothing but a disgrace.  emthdown

Interesting though I could apply the odds boost while being logged out then log in and the higher price would stay. Seems their little system can't handle that.  :nowink:

The same has happened to me countless times.

Exactly. You'd get that impression listening to some of the Corporate dogma that gets bandied about.

I think we have established beyond reasonable doubt that the corporates "control" what specials they give you, and to what degree.

If TABCorp are not allowed to merge with Tatts, Tatts will get swallowed up by a Corporate (probably Crown Bet given the strings Packer can pull) and there will be one less player i.e. less competition and more of this stuff.

Funny how the Australian "Competition" Tribunal look like they are about to kill off Tatts Bet and the reduction in competition will just make it harder for the poor old punter.

If it is not some sleazebag wowser Senator from South Australia deciding that punters should get less, it is a government public sector department given too much power. And if you are guilty of the sin of winning, the corporates will clip your wings

Just went to have a $10 dabble on a bolter @ Belmont tomorrow with William Hill. Took the odds boots that they offered and I got $250
my $10 was cut back to $7.50
why bother offering the price if you wont take a pathetic $10 on it

I read the original.

While it was probably useless, considering page 2 of the form requires you to provide your address details, I can't see how that was spam.

No JWH, read below  but this started as I received an unsolicited phone call which waffled on about depositing and that as a VIP customer     I'd been selected

Dear XXXXX,

I wanted to let you know that I tried calling you today to discuss a promotional offer for your account, I may have been unsuccessful in reaching you because the time I called was inconvenient.

Below is a quick debrief on the exclusive offer available now:

100% match of your next deposit up to '$250' in Bonus Bets.
To claim this offer, simply make a deposit when logged into your account! Your bonus bet will automatically be credited, following a successful transaction.

*Please note: Bonus Bets may expire within fourteen (14) days if a deposit has not been made.
Your access expires 22/08/2017.
* Once a deposit has been made, you have thirty (30) days to use the Bonus before it expires from the account. Bonuses may not be reissued if they have not otherwise been activated/consumed.

For information on how to ‘Configure’ your Bonus Bets, please click here.
For information on the Terms and Conditions surrounding our Free Bets/Bonus Bets please click here.

I look forward to hearing back from you, talk soon.

Kind Regards,

XXXX

Hi XXXXX,

Thank you for your offer.

While it seems a great offer unfortunately I have trouble trusting Ladbrokes because for no justified reason they have limited my 'odds boast' severely.

I'm a recreational punter who would be slightly in front but most likely behind in winnings from Ladbrokes yet after tooing and froing it seems the best excuse you could give me was my use of 'odds boast' wasn't what you called fair.

Like I said at the time, if you offer them, I'll use them, simple as that.

So I'd love to take up your offer but until you improve your customer service and remove such a ridiculous restriction, I won't be.

XXXXX

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Ladbrokes.com.au

I understand your concern, you currently have 2 'Odds boost' features per day, until we see some more organic betting on your account, the status will have to stand.

Please do not hesitate to contact us as required if we can be of any further assistance.

Kind Regards,

XXXX

XXXXX,

It's not about getting the odds boost.

The simple fact is I was told it would be taken away from me without reason, when I questioned it nobody could given me a plausible excuse. I then pointed out if you didn't want me to use them, why offer them? Again nobody could answer or be bothered sorting it out.

The feature has then remained but clearly you have shortened the amount of 'odds boost' available to me.

The lack of customer service shows how much you truly value any business I did with Ladbrokes. So unless you can rectify these problems I won't be depositing anything further with Ladbrokes.

XXXXX

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Ladbrokes.com.au

Under the bookmakers discretion which is clearly stated in our terms and conditions the bookmakers are allowed to accept and reject any bet that comes forth into Ladbrokes. Until we see some more organic betting, the Bonus only status will have to stand, but will happily review that in the near future.

Kind Regards,

XXXX
Customer Service

XXXXX,

That's the exact reason I opened accounts with your competition. I might understand if I was winning but when I'm square at best it's a pathetic excuse and terrible customer service.

Once again, if you offer a service then expect it to be used. It's laughable that you have the hide to complain and would like more 'organic' betting.

Btw - Could you please explain in detail what 'organic' betting is?

XXXXX

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Ladbrokes.com.au

For your records; Promotional offers (like Odds boost) introduced by Ladbrokes.com.au are expected to be consumed in addition to regular wagering behaviour. The completion of a recent review conducted by our Sportsbook has led to the belief that your account no longer/does not meet those requirements and that the spirit of promotional offers is not being met. Please be aware that this decision may be reviewed, or even removed at some point in the future.

Please do not hesitate to contact us as required if we can be of any further assistance.

Kind Regards,

XXXXX
Customer Service

XXXX,

Thanks for your reply.

Let me get this straight - because I only have 1 or 2 bets a day / weekend and that the odds boost was always offered I shouldn't be using them? (they were always offered by the way) as it's not how you put it 'in the spirit' but you'd require more organic betting?

Or in other words you are encouraging me to gamble more?

I'd suggest that it's hardly 'in the spirit' from Ladbrokes to masquerade about a service that you restrict from your own customers!

XXXX

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Ladbrokes.com.au

These promotions are offered as a sign of appreciation and loyalty. However, if you are only betting on these markets, then you will not be entitled to use these promotions. We want you to use the promotions and take full advantage of them, however, we must see some loyalty on your end. At this point, the bookmakers are unwilling to reinstate promotions to your account and will remain the case for some time.

Please do not hesitate to contact us as required if we can be of any further assistance.

Kind Regards,

XXXXXXX

Well written Gintara.  I hope they take note and wake up to themselves.  To encourage more gambling is pathetic  and attitudes like that should be stamped out by the relevant government authorities!
