I see that Ladborkes are advertising that they are "up for the challenge' which to me is misleading or false advertising if they limit or refuse bets to any customers.
The meaning of 'up for the challenge' is very clear.
If they are not in fact up for the challenge then a case can be made against them.
I don't bet with them so its not my fight but others might be interested. Of course they will refer to their small print terms and conditions - but given the boldness of the advertising its not a good look.
I only thought the same when I tried to put $100 on a horse @$3.40 and they said I could have $54 on it.They stood to lose $129.60.They must shudder in their boots when I want to win $240.
BTW everyone of the offers that all corporates offer are "come ons" to get you on their books. "If your team leads by 24 points and they will payout even if they lose upto a limit of $50 bet". Just think I could have $50 @ $1.60 on Adelaide in the GF and win $30.
Although if you take advantage of their "generous" offers too many times you will no longer be deemed a recreational punter and will be restricted in placing further bets on those promotional offers.
