Just trying to help you Peter, god forbid you need it as you fail the 7 point test

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

MORE BUM-STEERS -- TIPS FROM THE BIG BOOKIES

The previous week -- Epsom/Turnbull day -- of the 10 'LAY' nominations (horses that they think can't win) did win.

Except that these 'pretender' bookmakers close accounts of any likely winner, it is a wonder they are not broke laying horses like these.

..... maybe the 'bum steers' also help balance the books.

LAY – EVERY ROSE – Race 1 No.2 (Randwick)
Two-year-old making her debut in a field of fellow debutants. Won her trial impressively, but difficult to know what she’ll do here. The $2.70 on offer is under the odds for a horse in her position.

LAY – VERRY ELLEEGANT – Race 6 No.9 (Randwick)
She was back to her bad habits not settling when racing wide in the George Main, draws the outside here so I can see a similar run. Couldn't possibly entertain her here as favourite.

LAY – VERRY ELLEEGANT – Race 6 No.9 (Randwick)
I’m still not convinced she has come back from a spell in any great shape and concerned she wouldn’t settle last start. Draws outside in a race where they shouldn’t fly along. Happy to risk.

LAY – FUNSTAR – Race 4 No.1 (Randwick)
Beat the second pick Probabeel last start and the pair beat Libertini. Expect the outcome to reverse here, Funstar got the softer run, with Probabeel weaving and flashing late. The extra 200m suits her.

LAY – DEALMAKER – Race 3 No.4 (Randwick)
One win from 17 starts and hasn’t won in seven attempts at the track. Concede he maps better on Saturday than he did last start but he’s a low percentage play. Rather oppose as clear favourite in an even race.her not take the current $2.30 which is currently available for him.

Who needs tips and lays from bookies when Shayne Montgomery's tips are in the Sat Herald Peter.

In 2 of the most open races at Caulfield on Saturday Monty smashed it .

In the Guineas he had Super Seth rated at $3.75 when around $12 was available.
His 5 selections were the first 5 home and the first 4 paid $3k.

In the Toorak he had Fierce Impact, the $18 winner rated at $6.00 and had the first 4 in his 5 picks....paid  $7k.

Others there as well although Monty might have to brush up on his overseas form a bit.

Had Avilius rated at $2.75 on a firm track on which he has failed before.

Had Avilius rated at $2.75 on a firm track on which he has failed before.

Interestingly he ran the 4th fastest last 400 of the meeting which was actually equal to Cape Of Good Hope.

They pretty much raced together until the bend when Avilius hooked wide while CoGH followed Bart through the inside, that was pretty much the winning move but while Avilius looked on face value disappointing, his figures say he's gone just as well as the winner  :bulb:

Anyone know what the 9yr old Japanese horse Suzuka Devious is being aimed at? Basically jogged around behind the field then reeled off a 11.23 last sectional  :o which was only bettered by Trekking & 1 other on the day.

Monty is Magnificent

Who needs tips and lays from bookies when Shayne Montgomery's tips are in the Sat Herald Peter.

Shayne's, Monty's Top 5, are the best set of freely available tips in Australia.

They are only in print and on-line at smh.com.au.

Routinely, Monty is incredible in Sydney -- defying our own expectations.

Conversely, not so hot in Melbourne these days -- a decline linked to  RVL paying big-dollars down to 10th.

Good to see you actually tipping something around here.

Mind you, you’ve gone the negative lay approach but that’s to be expected

Racenet's  'tips from the big bookies v. Montys Top 5 (in the SMH)

A better performance from the big bookies eleven LAY bet selections -- only Happy Clapper and Miss Leonidas won this week.

Conversely, (across 11 corporates),  considering their 55 'positive' tips  -- only 4 won (YESYES, MDGLACE, GAMAY&HUSH WRITER)

This performance is just not acceptable!

On a tough day, the contrast with 'Montys Top5' in the SMH is dramatic.

Considering only the last 6 races :

....................in Sydney:  Monty had 4 winners .........  missing Deprive and Hush Writer.

...............in Melbourne: Monty included each of the 6 winners ... two tipped 'first', one tipped 'second', 2 tipped 4th and one 5th.

Monty is the 'go to' man on Saturdays -- week after week .........astonishing!

Why consider only the last 6 races??

Probably because it (disingenuously) suits whatever viewpoint/argument he is trying to spew forth.

The same reason they have a 'BIG SUX' but no 'BIG ATE'

....... the first couple of races are usually 'no go' 2yro and Hwy-robbery tripe

So basically what Harmers said!!

10 races both places.

No 2yo or highways at Caufield!!

2 listed and a Group 3 in the races you have decided to discard.

Do you really think there is any credibility in the crap you write?

Dear devil's disciples

..... in the first 4 races in Sydney .............Monty included 2 of the winners.. ...stay out to be smart!

....... in Melbourne ........ he included 3 of the 4 winners ......... but missed a hot one.

Don't  bet in all the races -- save your pension for the last 6.
