A tipster named Paul on 2ky this morning gave out a market that i assumed was his own for the 2yo listed race at Kensington today.

He had Purdy at $2.60 fav yet could not find a place for him in his top 4.   :o

I don't usually listen to these guys and have no idea how often a tipster gives his market and than does not select the horse he has marked down to be the favorite as the winner.

Surely if you make a market your favorite would automatically be your selection and the rest of your top four would be in your market order ?

I can understand if further into the day through your own market you see better value for another runner and make that your main punt, but surely if you mark something a 6/4 chance he is YOUR likely winner ?

Maybe Vince knows something about his Tip that we aren't aware of

Race 4 #14  MERRY MONI

Having watched the replay of it's only start at WF on 9 Mar it didn't get hot.

Up on the pace early but soon under pressure to stay in touch and lost ground in the run home beaten about 8 lengths.

Bearing in mind there are 8 first starters in this race most of which haven't trialled
why would an astute judge like Vince pick this race to declare a special .

UNiTAB ratings have it equal top with another which has had one run all the unraced brigade are below them.

I wont be on it so it's safe for anyone who follows Vince to have a bet.

The train stopper is in neutral this time.

I should get a job at QR.  emthup

Lol I hope no one pays for those. You could pick them yourself from the paper easily enough.  Not only are they paper picks but also paper favs.

Yes, but there are EIGHT in that category.

Vince has selected TWO.

Let's see how they go.

(BTW Vince is travelling quite well...we're languishing on an internet forum.    )

Matt - I guess that would have been Paul Joice? He's from Racenet and a pretty good judge imho   emthup

If you don't tip and even money favourite in your first 4 selections, are you going to offer 8/1 on Betfair?
Of course not

Heard Wayne Wilson am giving the Chubster's tipping service  a plug.

Turns out he tipped the quaddie on Sat $20K odd plus a F4 but Wayne couldn't remember which race.

Also kept listeners in the dark as to whether Chubby actually puts his own money on his tips.If so a very good day.

He tips 4 each race and coupling them up cost $256 for a full unit returned $20K +  while an all up at tote odds gave a much better $22.7K return. :clap2:

Don't forget $2276 on Belong To Many would have made it pay much less than $10

It was a noble effort to find Fulmonti.

I have to say I'd have had trouble finding just four horses with chances.  If ever a FIELD ticket was justified, the HS was the race.

He puts them over 4TAB with Tony Clements.  Usually about 8:55 or so, before WW comes on.  He also gives some for south as well.  Usually just 2 for the day.

I don't think you'll get any 100/1 pops, but Vince is held in high regard as a form student and price assessor.  Certainly worth a listen to.

I've been doing several things during the day after almost knocking my head off in an accident this morning.  Had a few place bets on Betfair.  Shame every day isn't like this:

Not sure if anyone has seen these? Not tipping as such but a ratings service

Racenet Special Offer

Have you tried racenet’s ratings? – a punting product done by punters for punters that helps all players, whether at the track or the TAB.

If not, then you’ll love this great offer – available only till this weekend ‑ for the next eight weeks you receive eight meetings of our professional ratings or speed maps for just $50, saving you $20.40 or 40% based on a casual purchase of $8.80 per meeting.

Each package, covering the entire Brisbane carnival, is only $50, and yes, you can purchase both.
With the professionally analysed ratings, you have every horse in every race with a rated price, which if you are a TAB punter is a huge advantage. You’ll soon discover the best value and just as important, the bad value.
And with the speed maps, the experts analyse each race and make a prediction as to the likely tempo of a race:

    * will it be a swoopers race
    * are horses close to the speed advantaged
    * will the speed be good enough to give all runners their chance
    * which horses are favoured if the track is bias

That is the 8 prime Brisbane meetings of either racenet's ratings or racenet speed maps for just $50.00 per product!

I've never subscribed, GT, but a good friend does.  Their picks were partly responsible for us getting a fat quaddie on Blue Diamond day.

I think they provide a good service for reasonable cost.  emthup
