Yeh just heard that DD...Hey did you get Mr X..& The Starmans tips this morning  as i missed em...

Sporty, I did hear them.  I can't recall the Starman's, but Mr X's was MARVEEN.  Mr X sounded very upbeat about ROYAL DISCRETION as well.

Just racing takes a swipe at the media tipsters who tip several runners in a race.  Shame that the TAB expects at least 4 for some bet types.  Plus the fact that close to 100% of punters who take multis make their bets around numerous horses.

There's no problem tipping more than one horse in a race, provided the end result is black.

Best thing since sliced bread are percentage bet exoctics.

Heard from a good source that all types of exoctic bets on unitab will be able to be taken at precentages.

Should allow punters who like to flexi bet quaddies to toss a few more numbers in the mix.

From last week's Racing and Sports Newsletter:

One to Avoid

DOOMBEN Race 7-2 TRIPLE HONOUR : Don't like after thought races. Was aimed at the Doncaster then backed up in the Queen Elizabeth Stks and while he ran well in both, three weeks between runs and carrying the weight is against him. If it becomes a staying test on a firm track, he'd be some risk
.

This was the recommendation from Betfair's expert Danny Power:

RECOMMENDED PLAY
This is a tricky race, because the
class factor might prevail and
dominate Ė which would see Racing
To Win, Triple Honour and Douro
Valley fight this out.
One of my bets is Douro Valley
because the race is a perfect fit for
him. The other will be any odds
better than $10 for Veloce Bella
Pre-post markets have DV around
$7.50. I am happy with that, in fact, I
am a player at any odds better than
$6.50. The best odds will be offered
on Betfair.
For those looking for a lay option
there are many options available. I
donít want to risk class gallopers
like Racing To Win even though he
hasnít won at 2000m, but I am keen
to lay Fulmonti

The winner Kooyong Road was rated 999.0 ! I'm sure they have good days, but today certainly wasn't one of them.

Vince Aspinall gives HARD TO CATCH a good chance in the Stradbroke.

In yesterday's CM, trainer John Wheeler was celebrity tipster for charity.  He's placed the $500 stake on his own horse PETUSKI for the place.

Saturday's tips

Speedy Natalie (Rosehill Race 4 No. 3)
The way it dominated the best two 2 year-olds in Adelaide on debut was outstanding. Make no mistake, Moody has a very serious racehorse here.

Swift Alliance (Rosehill Race 7 No. 2)
Bomb-proof entire who raced behind the leaders last time as Bowman knew the rail was off. Possesses good speed unlike most of the others here. Look for an all the way win.
