Who knows what he is doing.

Another article during the week says he put the race back on the table when he realised he read the order of entry incorrectly and believed she was zero chance of making the field.

While he should have realised she would get a start, in his defence the original release of the weights had a column headed ballot order which was actually a duplication of the order of weights

Just feel like she's in Limbo land at the moment.

I agree with others on the forum she should have been set for staying races in her 4yo year.

Now she'll struggle to get into the Caulfield Cup and probably not good enough to win the Cox Plate.

She's actually well placed to get a run in the Melbourne Cup and if she was mine I'd be setting her for that, avoiding a penalty and praying she gets a run.   :noteworthy:

So, that's a big mile (Epsom or Toorak), then the Caulfield Cup, then not allowed to start in the Cox, then nobbled before the Melbourne Cup and never won again.

I reckon the mare will last longer than that.  Its stablemates are the worry for the mile and the Cup.

Yeah, her last couple have been pretty ordinary - very poor today. We might have seen the last of her.

From the stewards report

Egg Tart - rider Kerrin McEvoy stated that his mount would be better suited on a track with more give. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
