I am surprised I had never started a similar thread, Perhaps I have but I can not find it.

Anyway, I will post on this thread those horses having their first starts that catch my eye with their pedigrees.

I will start of today in 7 minutes time the first from Caulfield.

INSURPASSABLE, by Exceed And Excel out of a full sister to superstar 2yo Clan O'Sullivan in the first from Caulfield.

R1 #6 Insurpassable, to be ridden by first race Jase.

There will not a better bred horse running around Australia today than Herald, for Darley in the next from Mornington.

By Reset from one of the most prolific black type families in any stud books of the world - Courtly Dee.

I think they are both doing fair jobs with out setting the world on fire. Hopefully they can build on what they have achieved so far.

Another very easy win for Assimilator resuming from a spell, now won four races and was still bandaged so they aren't taking chances with his legs as he appears to hit the ground hard so most likely why he didn't race early.

Kool, was he a discard from a major stable?

Seems odd that he started racing in Mackay

Wily...I'm not sure of the story I was told but my memory goes quickly thanks to concussion when my heart stopped and I fell back onto a tiled floor, I think he was sold cheaply as he didn't look like he would stand racing,I only discovered him up north as I follow his dams progeny.

A well bred that I thought would be very good but has been disappointing after starting her racing career under Graham Begg and showing nothing after a couple of trials and runs was transferred to the Wilde's at Warnambool and after a slow start has ran 3rd and 4th at her last two starts so maybe close to a win  Princess Anna by Encosta x Faith Hill.

A 3yo filly I thought could be a good chance in the fillies classics this spring is Flattery by Shamardal x Prestigious who is sibling I'm sure to Arazi and Noverre so she has classic breeding imo.

Perhaps Shacked Up deserves to be in this thread today at Hawksbury by Not A Single Doubt x Urge To Merge...a huge tradition to uphold.

Shacked Up certainly did her mum proud with a very nice all the way win when well backed...she was clipped over the body so it will be great to see the real coat and colour in the spring.

The winner was a Gabby Englebrecht Canny Lad gelding having it's first start called Cannyescent. Have blackbooked it. I think it will go through the grades quickly. Was eased right up on the line in what was a very soft win.

Don't think there are too many Star Kingdom descendants at stud these days. Canny Lad was put down a year ago and only has Canny Show and Grand Reve at stud and neither of them are covering many mares. Planchet has gone overseas?
