The Autumn Classic won on debut at Randwick today for Chris Waller.

And what a win it was. Had them well covered. Raced in the Waller style - not on the pace and plenty in the tank at the right end of the race.

Will be set for the Group 1 JJ Atkins in Brisbane if the reports are correct.

Is by Redoute's Choice out of on Irish mare Azmiyna.

Azmiyna is a Galileo half to Azamour who won 4 top flight Group 1 races about 12/13 years ago.

Azamour (IRE) 2001

2005   GB King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes    1
2004   IRE Irish Champion Stakes    1
2005   GB Prince of Wales's Stakes    1
2004   GB St James's Palace Stakes    1

(was owned by the Aga Khan???)

Azamour herself has produced 4 stakes winners including Aloisia (Thousand Guineas) and Double Bluff (MV Night Cup). Covert Love won the 2015 Irish Oaks and a G1 in France. Valyera won a G1 in France.

If there is ever a horse bred to win a stakes race it is The Autumn Classic.

And he is a colt!!

Saw that Snow Fairy had a colt by Frankel recently, doesn't get much better than that.

Also watched the Tony Mcevoy Frankel x Rostova colt Farooq run well again on Saturday. He is a mountain of a horse, quite heavily linebred to Danzig.

Interesting to see that Jameka will be going through the MM broodmare sale soon. Interesting to see how much she goes for and who they send her too. 5-10 mill?

The Frankel colt Farooq races at Morphettville in one of the SA Derby undercards. Looks a good EW chance stepping out to 7f with an ok draw and top rider going on.

Sir Owen debuts in Race 1 at Warwick Farm today. Is a full brother to the recent Doomben Cup winner Comin' Through and a Fastnet half to internationally rated Criterion (owned by Sir Owen Glenn).

The dam Mica's Pride has also produced two other stakes winners (Silently and Varenna Miss) and won the G3 Research Stakes herself.

Seems one of the original part owners purchased her outright listening to an interview with Bensley this morning. One final prep or straight to the barn yet to be decided.

$2.6 million for Jameka.

Geez it would be nice to be able to open your wallet and pull out $2.6 million to buy out your other owners.  :shy:
