Didn't actually go out on a high.

Wouldn't $33,000 be pushing the envelope a little?

He reminds me a lot of that Lonhro horse of  a few years ago - Exosphere. Both were Darley horses who won a Group1 3 year old race.

Exosphere won the Golden Rose and Kementari the Randwick Guineas. After their Group1 wins they then had an enormous boom on them but never lived up to it.

The difference is that Exosphere was retired after his 3 year old year but Kementari raced on at 4.

Exosphere stud fee is listed at $22 000 so I guess Kementari might be able to justify $33 000. Other than Trapeze Artist and maybe The Autumn Sun there will be not much opposition as far as 1st season sires go next year.
