Congratulatios to owners of Pontiana after producing a colt last year to So You Think she has now produced a filly to Pierro on 14/8/2014 :no1:....Pontiana was the only filly produced by her mum Liberty Rose so she can keep her mum's bloodlines alive....now to see who her next date will be with. :x:

Pontiana's smart but wayward sibling Liberation has been sent to Caulfied to run after losing his last two races on protest...Gai may be trying the different way of racing to keep him straight,I don't know where he trialed for stewards as he was scratched from a trial recently. :x: :x:

I was out yesterday so didn't post on Pontiana's birthdate 27/9/2007....it was nice that her sibling Liberty's Choice had a protest go his way after their younger sibling Liberation has lost two protests, one he shouldn't have lost.

Gee I don't know if he caused it or not but Our Vespa with Du Plessis almost came off him as he went for an inside run against Liberation yesterday....have to see stewards report but Gai may have to do something drastic if he caused it again.

Stewards Report

Our Vespa (NZ) - checked severely at the 230m when tightened for room by Liberation which hung in away from Rich Enuff. During this incident Our Vespa (NZ) clipped the heels of Liberation unbalancing its rider Mark Du Plessis. Stewards were satisfied that the racing manners of Liberation caused the incident and they were satisfied that Tom Berry made sufficient effort to prevent the incident therefore no further action was taken.

I am staggered that after Liberation's previous misdemeanors that stewards took no action against the horse.

Sobig...thanks,I don't know how the jockey didn't come off but Berry did a good job to correct him quickly which no doubt prevented that...a horse with so much talent but shocking manners...on the run Our Vespa could win the Guineas.

Thanks to Breednet Foal Gallery photo's I've just found out Pontiana had a colt, looks to have thrown to mum's side with strong bays through Redoute's Choice and Royal Academy bloodline,I was hoping for a black like dad So You Think, congrats to owners I hope they're happy with the foal.

Good news that this colt named Inference won it's trial at Werribee on Monday by a short margin but a winner is a grinner I'm stoked and I bet the Hawkes Team and owners are stoked also,I hope he races soon.

I saw the trial but as they don't seem to have the jumpouts having anyone calling I wasn't sure what colours he would be carrying but did notice a jockey give a horse the hardest hit I've seen since Shane Dye rode in races and the horse burst through the opposition to win so it was Inference that copped the whack I expect it was Dunn who normally rides Hawkes horses was the rider so wonder who the rider was angry with so the horse copped it.

After winning his 2yo maiden at his 2nd start Inference was sent for a spell to return as a 3yo in a BM70 against older horses over 1300m and after getting into strife 200 out recovered and a good ride by Dunn got him home first..what I loved about him since being born is he has inherited his sire SYT's beautiful forelock and only the strong bay genes from dams side has stopped the darker coat colour coming through on him.

Another tough win by Inference yesterday resuming but still a lot to learn as he is still running to the left and if he doesn't stop that may cause him to lose a race like his uncle did twice,Dunn was mad that he wasn't quick enough to put the whip in his left hand as he knows he can do that.
