Both Fastnet Rock stallions off the mark today with their first winners - Rothesay with Supersay at Toowoomba and Hinchinbrook somewhat more illustriously in the MM reverse race with Carriages.

After a very sluggish start to his freshman season, Rothesay got things going today at Doomben with his first city winner, the debutante, Shadow Lawn.

Didn't take long for him to get his second city winner, with In His Stride winning 35 minutes later.

Hinchinbrook's a shoo in for the first season sire title, with his headliner, G1 winner, Press Report.

Rothesay's had a huge run lately, including 4 winners today. He's in front on number of individual winners, with 13 ahead of Beneteau's 10.

Should we expect the Smart Missile's to loom up stylishly.... then not finish off????

Bit hard to take Foxwedge seriously either, both horses from the same shit crop.

Rothesay finally cracked it for his first stakes winner today, with Too Good to Refuse in the listed Keith Noud Quality, a pretty thin race if truth be told.

Given he's now 2 1/4 years into hiss tux career, it's fair to say that any pretence he had to being a commercial stallion disintegrated some time ago.

After having a 4 week break between runs, he loomed up to win the 2015 G1 Spring Champion Stks until his condition gave out in the last 100m. Often wondered about that decision not to give him a run in between  :chin:
