AUTUMN 2021 COMPETITION
The competition will run each Saturday from Feb 6 to April 17. It will be confined to Saturday races at Sydney and Melbourne Metropolitan racecourses. With the exception of the All Star Mile at Moonee Valley on March 15 all races will be Black Type.
On the Thursday or Friday before each weekend I will nominate 5 races. Selections must be made prior to the scheduled starting time for the race.
There will be a dummy competitor called Kitty. Kitty's selection in each race will be the runner with the highest numbered saddlecloth. Any person who joins the Competition as the weeks go by will pick up Kitty's points to that stage. Ant competitor who misses a Saturday will pick up Kitty's points for that Saturday. Any competitor who hasn't got a selection in a race (e.g. because of a late scratching) will pick up Kitty's selection for that race.
Each selection will carry a virtual $10 each way stake. As in the current weekday competition the winnings will be tallied at the end of the day. The winnings will be compared and points will be allocated on the basis that JWH recommended for one of PP7’s competitions. (The least successful competitor gets 1 point, the next 2 points are so on; however 3 points are added to the top competitor's score, 2 points to the second top and 1 point to the third top.) These points will be the primary contest in this Competition. (List A)
At the same time the total winnings will be recorded. (List B)
I will also keep and publish a tally of the combined rankings in the points table and the winnings table. (List C)
As well, I will keep a record of the number of winning selections and the number of placed selections. (Lists D and E)
At present there are no prizes for the competition. Any prizes would be welcome.

March 13: Coolmore, All Star Mile.
March 20: Golden Slipper, Rosehill Guineas, Galaxy.
March 27: Tancred, Vinery.
April 3: Doncaster, Derby, T J Smith.
April 10: Sydney Cup, Oaks, Queen Elizabeth.
April 17: All Aged, Champagne.
Because there are so many top races on March 5, TWO competitions - one on the Sydney races, one on the Melbourne races - will be run on that day.
All are welcome to join this Autumn Competition. You can join any time but it's more fun if you are there from the start.
