The 2022 Autumn Racing Competition will start on February 12 and will run to April 16. All posters and lurkers on Racehorse TALK are invited to join in the fun.
Each weekend there will be 5 races nominated. These races are black-type races together with the All Star Mile(March 19). A post on the first page will give a list of races from which the nominated 5 will come.
On February 26 there will be a double set of nominated races.
The weekend of March 26 will include one or two races from Moonee Valley on the Friday evening.
Selections are to be posted at any time up to when the horses jump. It is okay to alter selections up to five minutes before official jump-time.
There will be a dummy competitor (Kitty) to cover for late scratchings, late entry into the competition and a missing day’s selections from a regular competitor. Kitty’s selection for any race is the horse carrying the highest-numbered saddlecloth.
The points for each day is based on a $10 x $10 each way bet on each of the selections. The NSW TAB will be used to tot up the 'winnings". Points will be allocated so that the competitor with the least “winnings” gets 1 point, the second lowest gets 2 points and so on. The best three competitors get bonus points of 3 (top), 2 (next) and 1 (next). So, if there were 8 competitors the points would be 11, 9, 7, 5,4,3,2,1.
There is a chance that I may be having some elective surgery at some time while the Competition is running. If this is the case, I'll have plenty of time to set things up for the time I am off-air. So, for this Competition, the only standings I'll be keeping track of are the Points.

Offers of prizes are welcome,
One offer has already been made (and amended). Jeunes: "I am happy to throw a 50% share in a $50 sports multi straight after the end of the competition as all the footy codes will be in full swing. The selections will be made by the the selector of the longest priced winner of the competition." Thank you.
To be eligible to win a prize a competitor must have selected horses in at least half the Rounds.
