Brilliant description Brian...Bernborough just jumped out of the ground in the shadows of the post.

Well done to wily who has won this comp from Geoff and Brian.

The final week was the most dramatic by far.

Not only did wily get a roughie up, ratsack went very close with two of them, and we trifectad the last in Brisbane with only three selections. Specialweek desrves mention too for a good performance this week (I'd bookmark that one in the last at Adelaide SW - lacked vigour for most of the race IMO).

I'll be in touch WOD.   emthup

True story

I had a dream last night.

I had received a tip for a 53/1 shot.

I caught the race-train to the course and when  the train pulled in I saw the racecourse bus waiting for racegoers from the train.

Instead of a train ticket I needed to give the ticket attendant a Soother throat lozenge as my pass out. But I couldn't extract one soother from the packet,

The bus driver was gesticulating that he'd leave me there if I didn't hurry so I offered the ticket attendant the whole packet so he'd allow to leave the station.

But he said 'no' I had to give him only one lozenge.

The bus driver shrugged his shoulders, closed the door and drove off.

The ticket attendant told me another bus would be by in 30 minutes.

And it was.

At the track I left the bus and ran to the bookies ring to back my 53/1 shot.

"Too late" I was told the race had been run.

And yes, the 53/1 shot had won,

Freud would be scratching his head at that.

I had a dream last week - true story as well.

Was staying at someone's house - it was a tri-level and I was in this nice sunny room on the bottom level and could see the front door up on the next level.

For some reason I was feeling guilty because I shouldn't be there and was hoping no-one come through the front door.

Just then the front door opened and in walked someone dressed in a suit but their head was that of a smiling koala. He just looked down at me then went upstairs.

And I thought what would Freud make of that one.......
