First post here, so please be kind.

My story is as follows... recently I learned of a few places online that ran "fantasy" tipping competitions.. for a while this seemed ideal for me as I just wanted to have the fun of punting without the risk of losing money. Soon enough these websites started introducing "paid" competitions which turned me off completely, the prizes they offered also seemed questionable but that's another subject...

I decided I wanted to make a website that lists every Australian horse race each day and allowed users to pick which horse they'd think would win in each.
I wanted the design to be simple and recognisable but most importantly I wanted it to be free.

Fast forward to now and I'm pleased to say I've accomplished this task, the system is completely automated, allowing users to place tips on every Australian horse race each day.
Being my first post here, I won't spam the forum with links or the address of the website, but I've love to hear your feedback and thoughts on fantasy tipping comps and if it's something you'd be interested in.

Ahem,

Main reason I do okay these days is the majority of races are simply not bet on.

That is they are passed as being a small chance of me showing a profit in the long term.

But we all have our learning curve to process and learn from..... but some never learn but repeat the same old mistakes over and over.....

They donate to me.

Horseracingau,

Good to see you are doing things the right way.

Your site may well help many starting out to keep records and learn about their strengths and weaknesses if they were not already doing so themselves.

We think the moderators are probably dead .... so just put it up.

Does it allow you to join a specific group and have results ranked within that group?

Alright hopefully I donít get banned😀 currently there isnít groups just single users, but return on investment is tracked and there is a leaderboard. Tipping history is also kept indefinitely.

If itís something people use and enjoy definitely open to suggestions for improvement.

Trust me, you won't get banned for putting up a free site like that.

Had a very quick look:

Why is it compulsory to give a DOB and phone? I'm always going to lie on a site like this.

When I tip in a race - I can change the tip but once I tipped a horse I couldn't figure out how to remove the tip - be good to be able to cancel the tip when initially in the screen - maybe some type of confirmation before the tip is recorded.

I think you would increase the probability of use if you could create a group or at least access a person's results in a specific time frame eg between dates. These features would encourage use by forums or friends wanting to have a competition between themselves.

Thank you for the feedback. Youíre right, regarding the DOB Iíll replace that with an over 18 checkbox (just want to be covered in case minors use the site)... as for removing a tip, currently you can only change tips not remove them (a slight oversight by me!)

Just make sure they can't be removed after the jump.

Also better make sure you can't tip after the jump.

Yup got that sorted. So do you think itís worth me putting in some time to develop a system which allows users to compete in groups or ďleaguesĒ... itís a good tool just to keep track of tipping performance and projected ROI in general Iíve found.
