All,

The rules are interesting from the knockout point of view in that we are relying on the parimutual pool ( which can change a lot after the jump ) and can be eliminated if the final div is not >$2.00. So any temptation to reduce the chance of no div by getting as close to $2.10 as possible has to be offset by the fact the div might go from $2.20 before the jump to $1.90 after the jump.

Bigger the pool the better me thinks.

That is fair comment Fours.
It is a risk you take in this comp.

If you sail close to the $2.00 minimum in making your selection you run the risk of it slipping under $2.00 by the time dividends are declared.
The risk is increased if you are tipping on a small pool or if you are tipping one later in the day so you only have the very early betting to guide you.

Just remember you can only get away with that twice.

If one of you manages to eliminate the other this week, in the last man standing comp, the prize will be available on the weekend of 31 May as I will be O/S next weekend and out of the loop.

If neither prevails then it will be a case of going around again the following week.
