I will provide a share in a $49 bet.

The scoring being 3-2-1 for each week on top of what Gin refers to as the  "formula 1 style" which he says  "certainly suits me"

So just say there are ten participants the  week's scores will be

13
12
11
7
6
5
4
3
2
1
The participant with most points at the end of the comp is the winner (sharing in a $49 bet)
Note- I've selected $49 to keep it below the top prize of $50.

I will be to sole arbiter of contentious issues.

Just to make it clear , when I say
Gin refers to as the  "formula 1 style" which he says  "certainly suits me"

The "suits me" refers to him (Gin) not moi. :)

The points system is entirely up to Geoff (please advise Geoff).

I just pinched this off Google - but easily adjusted if you want

Points system

Points are awarded to drivers and teams based on where they finish in a race. The winner receives 25 points, the second-place finisher 18 points, with 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 points for positions 3 through 10.

Thanks PP

For my Formula 1 Comp within a comp the first three will score 3-2-1 then ranked top to bottom in this case yesterday 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

So the points score
Gin   12
sobig   10
JWH   8
BMc   6
Rat   5
SW   4
Wiiy   3
Wes   2
PP   1

Trust you're okay with that.

My rationale is that I feel the real Formula 1 method still too heavily favours the "Hail Mary" punter with the Lamborghini, yacht, and Penthouse girlfriend against the plodding punter with the wife , nine kids and a heavily mortgaged humble abode.
