It was the 52 weeks a year constancy that I need a break from. Had been doing it for 8 years.

If no-one else comes forward, I'll be happy to run the TABCorp comps of shorter duration.

Two of the comps maybe running alongside the Star Stable comps in Autumn and Spring and maybe a Brisbane Winter comp?

And was thinking along the lines of Wenona's Grand Prix scoring system so that we don't get fluke artists like me winning out of turn

But if someone wants to run with it, by all means please feel free to do so.

PP, don't be so modest, you deserve to win with your long shots, you put the effort in.  -())=(

So I hope the comp stays as it was.

I couldn't run the comp even if I wanted to  :shy:, for that reason I'm happy to go with whatever  :)

As I am a huge fan of these comps and although I do not enter them they help provide mugs like myself some really good priced winners more often than not. With the big Magic Millions day coming up I am happy to collate the results of a comp for that day and potentially longer term going forward. I will put up a selection thread Friday night and to kick start donate a $20 shared bet to the winner. Anyone else who can offer up a prize for the day post on here so it can be advertised. The results won't come through until after the kids go to bed around 8.30. My computer skills are reasonable enough to draft up a spreadsheet and tabulate the results like its done currently. With PP running the big comps and myself doing the minor ones then we shouldn't have too many more holes throughout the year hopefully. Obviously prize donations are going to be the major concern in the minor comps. Agree the current format seems to work well with a hypothetical $10 bet on 4 selections but a points system for the longer comps also has merit.

Calvo, thanks for making the effort and doing the work, I'm happy to give $15 for a 2nd prize.

Perhaps someone can come up with $10 for 3rd

Good luck to all that enter, especially me! I'd like to win for once
