Wow - all the male dogs produced by Kingston Bale are monsters. Didn't see anything less than 35 kg.

Fernando Bale starting as fave in the G1 Peter Mossman tonight @ WP.

The best since Brett Lee - But is Fernando better?  Not in my book, BL will always be the greatest.

Have been following this dog since he started his career. Is a quick beginner and has the intelligence to go around other dogs and not through them.

Record stands at 5:4-1-0 and have been on him for three of those wins at decreasing odds.

Anthony Azzopardi has taken him down for the Pacific Maturity and he goes around in the 1st. Drawn aweful.

A bit slow then got chucked out of the race at the first turn. Needs to draw a marble.

Trying not to pollute the Fernando / Brett Lee thread.  Or maybe doing a Mair and raising my post count.

Quite a handy dog (Blazin' Bomber) and litter going around at the moment.

KINLOCH BRAE x ABSOLUTE STUNNA

Blazin' Bomber https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/602160005 8 starts, 7 wins, 29.60 at The Meadows on Saturday night - In tomorrow night at Sandown in one of the earlier races.
Absolute Silence https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/602160006 4 starts, 3 wins, 24.56 at Sale over 440m
Bells Are Ringin https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/602160010 7 starts, 5 wins, 30.29 at Cranbourne, but looks to be going over longer trips
Ring The Bell https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/602160004 6 starts, 2 wins

Handy win last night from this fella, picked up $25k.  Dyna Double One a little bit unlucky.

I thought Blazin' Bomber might be better over the middle distances, hopefully they'll step him up shortly.

I got a bit lost Gin after they determined the final field. What happens after that?

(might have been distracted by the girl on the right in the tight lycra outfit holding a flag. Has she got anything to do with anything  :/ )

Basically it's 4 x two dog match races

How the field was determined

The final field is composed of the fastest 8 greyhounds (plus reserves) at Sandown Park from 1 March 2015 to 20 September inclusive that nominated for the series.

Times may be recorded at any race meeting, or during a series of qualification trials conducted on the Sundays preceding the series. Trials were conducted under normal race conditions.

Following the final qualifying trial, a manual box draw was conducted on course to determine the matches with the greyhound drawing 1 facing the greyhound drawing 2, 3v4, 5v6 and 7v8.

Details of all trials can be found here.

How it the series works

The Speed Star will be conducted as race 3 (7.46pm) on the program. It will consist of four matches, the winner of each match collecting $10,000, with the greyhound recording the fastest overall time collecting an additional $15,000, the second fastest time picking up an additional $6000.

Greyhounds that draw an odd number will jump from the inside box (box 1), while greyhounds that draw an even number will jump from the outside box (box 3)

The final positions in the race will be declared on each greyhound’s overall time.

Did they clock the lure for Full On Blings trial?

29.88 best run at a Sandown Provincial race and then trials one out in 29.15 ...

For what it's worth, here are my tips:

Lamia Bale, Dyna Yemen, Caustic Bale, Kayda Shae.

Yeah, don't know much about SM to be honest.  DY probably not in as good a form as he was, but has still run 29.18 on a winters track.

Smart Missile gets the cash.

Of interest a dog named Sanette Chop recorded it's 3rd win of it's career tonight at Maitland, at it's 4th start it lowered the colours of none other than Smart Missile!
