What a great day with the highlight being the Time Honoured Christmas Cup at Glorious Healesville.

Looking forward to the race but the market looks pretty spot on to me so probably not much betting.

My 100% market has : $2.80  It's All Talk - $3.10 Kid Carl - $8.50 Zipping Simmo - $12.50 Boof's Banjo ... and I look for a margin on those, so I'd suspect something on Zipping Simmo at $10+ may be my only bet.

Looking at the rest of the card I can't see a value stand out top pick.

Race 5 - Got Charlie Rocket on top but doesn't look value - I'll be looking to back Sleeping Slick at $6.50+ in this one.

Race 6 - Again I don't think the favourite Cullquinn Bomber is value - looking for Early Express $6.50+ and Samba King $9.50+ and Early Thunder $25+ here.

Race 10 - If I can get $3.00 Serious Bolt here I'll be on.

Race 11 - Turfman $9.00+ and Spazzy Blue $12.00+ is what I'll be chasing

Race 12 - Meehan Deano $7.00+ is top of my shopping list.

Good luck if you're having a bet.

Haven't had a look at the Ville today, but quick look through Sandown.

Laurels winner Dr Mino goes around in a restricted win race.  It's got more prize money than the rest of the field combined.  Comes up at $1.60 on SuperTAB, at the risk of tempting fate, that's almost free money.

Also happy to back Betty La Fae in race 8 #5 over the middle distances, currently $3.60 fixed odds on SuperTAB

I was on Striker Light @ $46 to win the Perth Cup last weekend (she went to the boxes 2nd pick @ $4)

Of course the overs god got me and she missed the kick for the first time in about 10 starts running fourth  :tears:

I did Wenona, saved on the fav Up Hill Jill & even though I didn't think he could get off the box I saved on the 8 too as he's very fast (he didn't)

Of course I gave the red no hope in that grade, thought SL & UHJ would cross him   :bash: :chin:

There was a nice debut by one at Nowra last night.

Timely Tuned misses the start badly then chases like a mad dog circling the whole field - even think he had time to have a go at the leader as he runs past it in the straight.

Will have to improve his box manners but should progress to the next grade and maybe beyond.

Warragul Track : Does anyone know what work was carried out in the two month Feb - April break at the track? Times since returning have been substantially faster and I'm trying to figure out why so I can include it in my workings.

based on this and arm trials continuing I doubt much was done to the track apart from usual maintenance.

That's what I thought, but that track is playing 1-2 lengths faster down the back straight and around 3 lengths faster over the 460 trip since they went back.

I wonder if they had heavy machinery or equipment parked or driving on the track.  :what:

Time,

He'll need to jump well as Startron actually has a quicker non-sectional time at Healesville than he does and the eight Belt Up Bubbles has an elite time at Ballarat four runs back.

Didn't notice that  :what:

There is a Mixed 6/7 Final at Warragul tomorrow Tuesday (Race 5).

Confident the winner will come from 2, 3 or 7.  Bit of value in the 3 dog at the early odds.

Timely Tuned races in the Final tonight at Nowra (Race 3).

It is up against a dog called Tomerong Terror who won on debut by 10 lengths in the BON. Missed the start a little and from box 5 might not get the same luck as last start if it repeats the slow start but with clear running hard to see it getting beat on times. Obviously Timely Tuned is the danger if it can get a better start from box 6.

Pace is out wide with the 7 and 8 leading in their heats.

Another real up and comer about to go around at Healesville at 1.34 R9.

Eye Got It - won all of three starts breaking 19sec here each time.

Be interesting to see if it can go substantially quicker than Jet Blaster did winning the Winter Cup in the previous.

Wow  :o  First up from a spell, wins by 7.4lengths running 18.93 - 0.26 better than Jet Blaster (who had a clear run) winning the Winter Cup in the previous.
