Wow  :o  First up from a spell, wins by 7.4lengths running 18.93 - 0.26 better than Jet Blaster (who had a clear run) winning the Winter Cup in the previous.

Liked the way he found his way over from Box 6 to the rail. Augers good if/when they take him to a round track.

Unbeaten after 4 runs. Highly promising dog!

Yeah. To run sub 19 four times in a row is really elite and to do it at your first four starts is pretty special. He does it at both ends as well - first sectional today was 6.45 that's really quick.   emthup

I imagine he'll have a crack at the Healesville Cup across August/September be very interesting to see him run in a field where he can't just highball it in clean air.

Has been well placed through out it's short career.

Not sure about it being a city dog though.

Healesville Cup today, good field though a little below last year I think.

Eye Got It was nutted in the heats by Raw Ability but stepped out today in a FFA and ran 18.779 getting fairly close to the 18.751 track record. He was aided by vacant boxes inside and out but pinged the start and blistered along.

Be interesting to see how close the Cup winner gets to that time - obviously it's a lot harder in a quality full field.

What's the go with the Traralgon 395 times over the last 2 months?

Suddenly I'm getting dogs with good runs at Traralgon over 395 coming up ridiculously short in my handicapping program. Like coming up $1.70 when they'd be $6.00 without that run.

Multiple runners running lengths better against par over 395m at Traralgon than they ever have gone before then not repeating by a long way, 5th grade dogs in the lower class $800 odd races running lengths better than the best 5th grade winners over the last 18 months in the $1400 races ????  Is it a day/night thing?

Something weirds going on there. If you have a dog  you like and it's best run is at Traralgon in the last 2 months be very careful.  :chin:

Tralralgon to me has always been a real specialist track in Vic. They are turning more than they run straight over pretty much every distance. It is a pretty tight track compared to most others in vic.

I really hate having to rely on only recent form from there when looking at other tracks.

Those dogs then go to the one turn tracks and are not suited.

The only distance thats even slightly similar to the one turns is the short course.

I don't bet there but I do include the from in my analysis of the tracks I do bet on.

The times in the last couple of months have been crazy quick.

It's worked out OK because I've identified the issue and can make allowances that I don't think are being fully allowed for by the market.

Got myself all excited the other day. Saw a slashing win from a pup at the bool on the weekend who ran 21.89 . The average times at the track are  over 22.1 or 2. Commentator got very excited by the win.

GOTTA BANDIT is his name but hes had 22 starts already. 12 wins  :chin:
