Guys

I was keen on a few at the Puppy auctions last year and was wondering how they are going. Where can I find out if they are named or raced?

When do dogs usually get named and have their first start?

Wily - general rules

Come off the farm - 12 to 14 months, break in 13 to 16 months, spell 1 month (names probably go in), back into work and depending could be racing at 18 months old although to me that's very young.

Most start before they are 2.

No Wily.

They'd be 15 months old, I say a few should have been educated now and should be named very soon.

That is one of the best dog photos I've ever seen Auth. Have pinched a copy.   emthup

You gotta love kelpies. I have a kelpie x cattle fast asleep next to me on the bed in my office right now. She looks a bit cold...I'll cover her up.

Hes up on the NSW side / QLD border area.
Assume some would start around Tweed, Casino, Lismore or even Grafton when ready.
Still a bit young yet.

1 win from about 12 starts between them all at far flung tracks
