This is an interesting  case where a trainer one David Dawson was charged and found guilty of offences under GRA rules of associating with a disqualified person one Tony Vass at as greyhound training facility.....he got 12 months lost at the RAD board ...and at VCAT but went to the Supreme court seeking leave to appeal which was granted and the court upheld his appeal and revoked the disqualification ....costs are to be determined.

ADMINISTRATIVE LAW Judicial review of a decision by VCAT upon review of decisions made by the Greyhound Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board Whether or not the Tribunal amended the particulars of a charge before it for review Whether or not the Tribunal acted beyond power by amending the particulars of a charge Leave to appeal granted appeal allowed.

Sometimes it is not a matter of hanging around with undesirables. Moreso they hang around you - I'm sure DD would say something like that
