Quick fix out for Albion Park track

AS thoroughbred meetings are cancelled because of strike action, Queensland harness racing is set to come to a standstill tomorrow as well because of a botched remediation at Albion Park.

The club lost three of five Saturday night meetings because of track issues and it now seems the track will be out of use for another two weeks because work to fix the track has not come up to standard.

It is understood consideration is being given to moving tomorrow night’s fixture to Redcliffe, but that would mean changing fields, because the venue has a capacity for only 10 horses, as opposed to Albion Park’s 12.

Incensed harness trainers are considering transferring horses to Sydney, preferring to travel than race in Queensland when the premier track is out of play.

Unbelievable  :o

Giddy Up
