I was on Terror To Love. Thought I was some sort of chance on the home turn when Beautide had been racing in the death on his outside for the entire race.

Amazing burst of acceleration. What a horse!

Amazing win after death seating. Thought it was a poor drive until they straightened and exploded away

Great Run, Shit "series".

I had 0% interest in it and just happened upon the race 5 mins before it ran. I honestly didn't even know it was on today.

If they want to revamp it they should go back to the future. Make it a 3 round series and a final like it always was.

Anyway forget the interdom I just found out about Adore Me's run.

1:47.7 (27.1, 26.9, 27.2, 26.5) in the ladyship mile to break the Australasian Record and only 0.1 outside the World record mile for a mare.  :clap2:

That is after sitting outside the classy mare Frith and also after working it's arse off early. One wonders what it was doing running around in the wrong race.  :unsu

The next 3 years Inters are in Perth and will be the old format of 3 heats and final.

That's great news about going back to 3 rounds.

They should have the points system and you get to pick your position for the final depending on your point score standing after the rounds.

Would help with horses having a soft run.

Well I didn't know that but it is great news. So 3 heats of 10 or 12 each night?

Why 3 straight in perth?

Hope they run a trotters series at the same time.

The three year was a condition of the powers that be to award for 3 rather than 1.

There has been 3 in Sydney ending today.

Certainly as I understand it it is 3 rounds of 3 heats, 2 at Gloucester Park with the mid week round at Bunbury.

Interesting drive on David Hercules.  I thought he must have broken down.  Weird.

That run by Adore Me was as dominant as Beautide's win in the final.  Brilliant by both but her time is amazing.

They should have a match race.

Was a great day at Menangle till the storm washed us out.

Beautides win was worth the price of admission alone even though I had to take $1.65 as the best the on course bookies bet.

Also the win by Adore me had to be seen to be believed , I was on Frith and thought I had a great chance till Natalie said go, and yes I too wonder how Adore me would have gone in the big one but an Oaks win isnt to be sneezed at.

The other interesting fact was Mark Purdon giving up the drives on his pacers to Natalie Rasmusson so he could concentrate on presenting his horses in the best possible condition.

Gavin Lang in his winning speech said he told Natalie before the Derby that while he was happy for her winning all the races could she please let him win one and of course his charge got up in the last stride to nut Natalies.

A great days racing , for me only spoilt when the storm hit.

I hope we can do the series justice but I fear distance may be a problem unless the $$$ are right up there.

I've always loved the Inters since I was a youngster and the legacy of it is important to me.

I go back to the days that Wily and I both share - he liked Gamma - I liked the Pure one - but in truth I loved 'em both.

My earliest recollections was when we were living in Carnarvon and Hondo Grattan won the title.  Little Hondo.

And then he won it again when most of the field fell over in Perth.  But I reckon he would have won it anyway.

I remember Young Quinn sounding (no live broadcast then) invincible in NZ.  What a great horse he was.

It always had so much drama and intrigue but the best horse almost always won.

GP isn't the best track for it though but the final here last time was pretty good.  And again, the best horse won.

I'll be there.

You wouldn't know the ID was on relying on the local paper...haven't seen anything apart from the Tatts totes and prices.....no interest anywhere. :o

They've shot themselves in the foot and it will take close to a decade to fix it

Lenny seems to have the series at his mercy.
Interesting to see how Philadelphia man goes tonight. Has to be a risk from the draw. I suspect he will be given a typical interns 2nd heat soft run

Well, the draw has thrown up some interesting scenarios. Very open race that could be won by the best drive. Still think Lenny looks the one but he may be posted and cant death seat and win, I don't think

Great race. The second horse was huge too. Had all the others with the soft runs gasping for air a long way out.

Just realised it's Interdominion Final night ....

looked at the field and realised that for the first time in about 45 years (I go back to Monara and the mighty Manaroa) I have absolutely no f..'n idea who any of the runners in the race are.  :tears:
