Kevin Thompson continues to assume horses are too far back half way down the back straight at Menangle.
When is he going to realise at that point it's on par with the bell at Harold Park, around 800 from home.

Kev called Den Bluejay hitting the lead halfway down the straight, from where I was looking it didn't hit the lead til the line, where he baasically calle Moveitmoveit fighting back to win then he didn't know

but the best you'll see at getting the tight finishes exactly right.

I used to love Ron Papps calling" Little Lethal Lea sands, she's as tough as old boots and grinding away"

Yes Kevin Innes, was a professional cyclist in his heyday then trotts trainer/driver. As they say " he was in a good paddock and ate all the fences".

Bought Lea Sands for Alan Hunter (owner) as a going concern from Tasmania, was a gutsy horse but just lacked high speed to match it with the very best.

Seen a red hot drive in the 3rd today, $3.30 fav Beach Watch (Glenn Hayward) gate 8, eased at start and made a bee line for the fence to slot it in 4 back the pegs.
Did his best to run up a few bums in the straight which he did quite well (without making it look obvious)  8) Finally decided to find some daylight in the concluding stages to flash through and run 5th full of running, was in front hard held 50m past the line.
Was a great drive considering he acheived what he set out to do
oh by the way, plenty of $6.60 available on BF  ;)

not as dead as the opening fav Carneggan Dasher race 3 at Moe, was $2.10 when i looked 4 minutes before the race and the eventual winner was $3.50 Belliti, backed in to start EVEN MONEY WITH BOOKIES  :what:

the opening fav blew the start (ridden by Brad Rawiller) and was rearwards throughout, winner was smokin the cherry in the run

If you looked on BF, Belliti was always a touch over toss of the coin and CD was 5.60. The reason CD couldn't win was at its only start it came from near last to run 3rd and today was a leader biased track.

And how bout Blokeman, the first score up he was right up on the gate and the 1 Cooktown didn't score up so start aborted, 2nd go Blokeman Gallops at same stage and they let em go and the cause of false start leads from the pole but thank  :censored:  it didnt win, my tv would be in pieces, it only just survived as it was.

with the exception of team Fitzpatrick and Greg Bennett, 95% of the other drivers are clueless how to drive at menangle, he (or she) with the last crack wins...simple as that...and i dont care if it's a $1.04 shot leading, seen many of those rolled since menangle was re-born. dead set retards most NSW drivers, just check todays results at Menangle, in particular the last 5 races, 4 of which incorporated the quaddie legs, and watch the replays if they are available...most of these drivers need to go back to driving school they got NFI  :bleh:  emthdown
