Divisive will have to work hard tonight from barrier 11.

Can't improve his ranking but he can certainly fall back a lot if he can't beat those from WA

Disappointing run from him last night.  Got the easy 3 wide trail into it after a dream run.

The winner may measure up in the east but really, to win an inter dom, he should have done better

Looking forward to see how the American goes tonight in the Cup as well as Karlshrue who went so well in the inters last year.

Anyone know when he went back to Aiken stable. I recall Justice had him for a few preps

How can you say disapointing. He was backing up after a massive run the week before and got beaten late by a horse who has not been beaten since he arrived in Australia and had a good run similar to Divisive.
Are you telling me that Divisive could not win an Inter if he ended up beind the leader at AP ?

You obviously didn't pay close attention to that race. Power Of Tara sat 3 wide without cover for the last lap and a half while Divisive sat on his back.

WTF are you on about ? What did i miss about Devisives last run in the WA Cup ?
I paid plenty of attention to both runs. Yes Power of Tara was three wide without cover for the last lap with Divisive on its back but Divisive came of 20 and also copped interfearance shortly after the start that saw him lose another 30 to 40 meters. It was a big run despite getting cover in the three wide line. Maybe it was you who was not paying attention ;)
Next start he looks just a little flat and gets run down by a horse who is yet to taste defeat in Australia and had a nice sit off the speed as well.
What exactly have i not be paying attention to ? His first run was a big effort and what the winner did in the run has no bearing what so ever on the fact . It was still a big run after coming from the back mark and finding trouble early. The next week he looked a bit flat after a tough run the week before.

Gamma

I take your point about being flat after a hard run but the stable said, on the radio, that wasn't the case.
The only excuse they came up with was that he hung in on the turn.

Personally, I think he should have beaten that lot easily and there will be no depth in that form come inters time.

I may well be wrong.

As to divisive winning the inter dom, with the perfect run behind the lead, yes he can but he'll need all the breaks.

In fact, I think the winner of the series will be the one to get the luck on the night. It's the most even series I have ever seen and the top 15 or so have STRONG winning chances given a good run on the night  emthup

Wily it is pretty easy to say he should have beaten the Perth horses easily but every years the Eastern state horses head over there and every year it is usually the Perth horses winning all three of the GC events. People under rate the strength of the Perth FFA horses simply becasue they dont see them race , they see ex eastern state horses winning over there or they dont have a good travel record when coming to the Eastern states. It is bloody tough to win over there and plenty of top liners have found that out over the years. You can say what you want about the depth of the form but history is very plain when it comes to beating Perth FFA horses in Perth , its not as easy as people assume it should be , even more so becasue of the small track.
The WA horses probably wont feature over here but that is a similar problem to what the Eastern horses have heading over to WA. The travel factor his huge.
As far as Divisive being flat after the Fremantle Cup run it is quoted in the Harness Racing Weekly this week that the horse was a little flat and that is why they have returned to Victoria for the Ballarat Cup in a couple of weeks rather than staying in Perth for the APC.

Good race at Shep tonight.

Sam will further enhance his standing for the up coming Hunter and Inters Doms.

I'm staggered they're betting $5-50 :excited:

Certainly did go enormous in what was a GC quality race. If he can find the lead in a good race he will be bloody hard to run down.
