Why did they cut the distance to 2400m, shame, shame, shame. We don't have enough staying races as it is, without cutting the distance, the same old field will line up at 2400m as it would at 3200m.

Well i think it is to fit in with the programing of the winter carnival.

Next is Caloundra Cup 2400m, then i think the Queensland Cup 3200m has been brought foward a fortnight after that, corect me if i am wrong  ;D

Senational race, and a great win by Newport.

Was a good move changing it back to 2400m i guess
