I was lucky enough huh to be there the year the IRA put a bomb scare through the course cancelling the race, 1997, the 150th running. The race was then run on the Monday but i had to get back to work. An experience was that day!

At Aintree today Sir Alex Ferguson (Manager of Manchester United)  has a horse called What A Friend running in the main race on day one. It's up against Imperial Commander who recently won the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Not sure if his horse will win, but will bet Fergie doesn't turn up - what with Man U losing in the Champions League last night, and also with Aintree being deep in Liverpool country.

I will post later when I get some mail from the UK.

Tevez, I am looking everywhere for Whinstone Boy and can't find him. Is he in the National?

Also apologies for not loading up on the smiley faces. I am on my iPhone and they don't do faces for some reason but you would definitely be getting man of the worship ones.
