Secret Ruler could be big danger to the favourite in this race today. A first starter trained by Fred Kersley. It won a trial recently by 6.25L and is out of Most Secret which won a Supremacy Stakes, Queen’s Plate and Gimcrack Stakes. A half brother to Covertly, So Secret and Secret Link.

As a regular trial attendee, an awful lot of trials in Perth at the moment are games of ducks & drakes. I'm one of 4 regulars at all Belmont trials ( I dont go to Lark Hill anymore due to time constraints) and all agreed that trial form on face value at the moment is worthless. The depth of some of the trials is questionable and some of the recent winners have been nothing more than gifted the result.
