Jim Cassidy, sidelined since a nasty fall at Eagle Farm back in June when he broke an ankle and four ribs, returned to track work today at Rosehill.  He hoped to do some jump outs or barrier trials in the next ten days and then be back riding in early December.

Yeh & if my Auntie had Kahunas she would be my Uncle

By the way, Why do you think The Saintly 1 bolted from Hong Kong, then retired for 2 years,    chin it was either that or  (Heals 2 Give me roses) so to speak

What does this mean BW?

If we base best riders on g1 wins etc. What about Boss? Beadman was a stable rider for a while so he got the best of Hawkes and used to get Cummings too. Boss had to chase g1s from different trainers. He has won more Melb cups (thanks to one horse) than cassidy, Oliver or Beadman. boss has won Doncasters, Gloden Slippers too. G1 wins are not a good indication of ability if you happen to ride the best horse in the field. Lonhro, Saintly and Occy come to mind for Beads. Oliver used to get plum mounts for freedman and that was through Freedman's best years.

By the way is it me or has Waterhouse gone through quite a few riders over the past decade or so. I remember when Jimmy used to ride for her on a reg basis. I think she had Boss, Munce, Beasley, Eades riding for her at one stage too.

i strongly doubt that, but i'm sure a few of the old timers you talk about, will agree with you though,as will the majority of punters,so you're in the majority, but thats one place i prefer not to be,when it comes to the racing game

thats true bundy, but when your opinion on things racing is shared by the majority, its a dangerous place to be,knowing that only a small minority win at this game

Judging a jock is still an opinion....winning or losing on the punt is a fact....therefore irrelevant I feel tongue

that was a bit harsh,he comes in at about 7-8,behind these, cassidy, oliver.moore cook higgins dittman s.arnold, and hes in the mix with a few at around that mark

i did say 10-15 was a bit harsh,as was said slightly tongue in cheek, the above is my actual opinion,i also have seen all of the above ride

I think what Bundy is trying to say Da Judge, is that just because somebody disagrees with your opinion doesn't make it incorrect  Undecided
