Jim Cassidy, sidelined since a nasty fall at Eagle Farm back in June when he broke an ankle and four ribs, returned to track work today at Rosehill.  He hoped to do some jump outs or barrier trials in the next ten days and then be back riding in early December.

Hawkes said before the race that he was a stallion and would take a few runs to be near his peak, Cassidy with that in mind didn't want to hunt him out and get him pulling,

Hawkes said he may need a few runs to peak, That does not translate to "ride him quiet and don't get him pulling". Especially given his racing pattern throughout it's whole career

I know you weren't there jimmy so you really are drawing a long bow to defend a bloody poor ride.

The ride lacked initiative and was poor in the extreme

Careful Wily - them's blasphemous words

Conceding I see  when you resort to having a shot at me it shows your argument holds little credence (again)

Great ride on Pressday on the weekend lol   lol

Bugger me, Jimmys sore shoulder must have recurred as he couldn't hold the thing to a sensible pace.

is this a reminder that horses respond to the use of the whip and with a few extra hits you are giving your horse an edge over competitors.
