GOLD COAST TURF CLUB A GCTC Board Director was expelled at today's Board meeting for contravention of the Club By-Laws. This Board is clearly a very strong and determined one that is prepared to make the hard decisions. |

Not sure every decision made by a Board has to entail a press release, does it Proud Knight? Some press releases often end up totally untrue, misleading and not factual at all....eg.........................................."all trainers and owners don't care who owns the Club".................!
Pisces, given the club isnt going to use the traditional means of releasing this sort of inormation, perhaps you can tell us why the director has been given his marching orders ?? |

I think it's important to stay focused on the facts here....
If indeed what Pisces is saying is fact lets concentrate on that.
Not how informtion is released, but morover what the hell is happening in provinicail queensland race clubs????????????

I don't understand your "traditional means" of releasing info? Why does a newspaper have any right to "announce" these things rather than other means? |

PK................................please advise what is the "traditional means of releasing this sort of information" , secondly, please advise - is this" traditional means" mandatory and if so, where is that documented and thirdly - why don't you ask a Director yourself tomorrow when you are trackside? I mean, it might be childish and inappropriate of me to tell you - might it not? |

No pisces, your post here was the first news of it I got. I knew it was brewing, but didnt know they would actually give him the flick. Would it not be appropriate for the club to do a release, place it on its website and send to media outlets ? Dont members have a rite to get the facts, not just the rumour spread by someone, whom I asusme, has no official position with the club ?? Given Andy Sims and his family have put alot into racing on the Gold Coast for more than 3 decades, I think he deserved better than that. |
