Racing Victoria

Racing Victoria stewards on Friday inquired into the analyst’s report on the urine sample provided by Stathi Katsidis at Flemington on the 3rd November 2007.

The analyst had reported the presence of Phentermine an anorectic (appetite suppressant).

Evidence was taken via telephone from Stathi Katsidis and from Dr J Vine, Director of RASL.

Stathi Katsidis pleaded guilty to having delivered a sample of urine which was found on analysis to contain the presence of a banned
substance Phentermine.

Stathi Katsidis was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on Thursday, 15th November, when he was stood down from riding and to conclude at midnight on Saturday, 22nd December 2007.

Prior to Stathi Katsidis riding track and in trials, he must produce a
clear urine sample.

Stathi just happened to get him parked out three and four deep throughout and another fav goes down. I'd reckon there will be a few punters waiting in the carpark for him..

he might have his brother with him. biggrin

Must have been the sunny coast cause yesterday he had 6 rides down the coast for a 2nd and a 3rd....the 3rd placing on an odds on fav...maybe his confidence was down.

Before bagging Katsidis for getting beaten on a favourite, I'd be asking myself why these horses are racing at Twba today. chin

We also have to remember his mounts are well supported because he's riding them.
It's all public money that makes them short, the horses don't know they're meant to be favourites.
All that aside, he has ridden some shockers recently, especially in the southern states.

That doesn't make his mounts any better than they were before the jockeys were declared.

It does if Stathi is riding them rather than Jason Letherby  lol

I'm starting to warm to young Jason.

You wouldn't have backed Stathi when he was a 3kg claimer, either.
