Racing Victoria

Racing Victoria stewards on Friday inquired into the analyst’s report on the urine sample provided by Stathi Katsidis at Flemington on the 3rd November 2007.

The analyst had reported the presence of Phentermine an anorectic (appetite suppressant).

Evidence was taken via telephone from Stathi Katsidis and from Dr J Vine, Director of RASL.

Stathi Katsidis pleaded guilty to having delivered a sample of urine which was found on analysis to contain the presence of a banned
substance Phentermine.

Stathi Katsidis was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on Thursday, 15th November, when he was stood down from riding and to conclude at midnight on Saturday, 22nd December 2007.

Prior to Stathi Katsidis riding track and in trials, he must produce a
clear urine sample.

Give him a break, Fly To Win started favourite in R4, albeit narrowly   lol

But did ya see Stathi on Coroner, had trouble getting out of that pocket

just watched/backed me first one in a week...gave it every chance to the 100 and then sat up and runs 2nd last......shortened right up and the fav/stathi backers be reaching for anna bligh's oxy-gen mask/s

After watching most of the day I went back over the form for the Chipping Norton to look for the horse on the pace, wavered over Thesio but stuck with my original thoughts  rant not being smart enough to save  slaphead but I was smart enough to up my bet on Dreamscape  beer

Stathi fresh from tying in the Brisbane jockey's premiership  with his BRC Medal  on his chest now has something extra in the bank.He had a big payday on Sat,apart from Shoot Out being  presented with two $2K cheques winning the MM races prize for jockeys.
Photo on Dan Costello's site otherweise we wouldn't have known . thumbsup

The local CM didn't want to know about it. Thumbs Down

He was on radio yesterday morning sounding very positive, says he's got a good balance in his life now, very happy to stay in Brisbane and go to carnivals around Australia.
