A post-race veterinary examination of WARRIOR WITHIN (M. Walker) revealed that gelding to have a laceration to its off hind leg

Paul Hammersley is back on top.

At the 25/1 fixed he looks fair value. With $962 in the win pool his $137 looks good as well.  fingers crossed

Just got back from the Calcutta - we didn't buy any - probably needed about two or three beers more to do that  lol

Ironstein went $2,050 with $6800 in the pool before his auction money went in. Fulmonti seemed to go for a little bit of a premium. Chris Scholtz was talking up Twin Wing's chances saying that Guy Walter had set him for this race and was pretty confident. Small field this year but an interesting race nonetheless. I'm sticking with Ironstein. A few slows because of the weight rise so expecting a decent price tomorrow - he should handle that OK and is the up and comer in the staying ranks.

Parlay with Apres and Lifeboat  wink

I agree that WARRIOR WITHIN should be considered in multis.  Forgive him his SC run, and he's a serious chance.

I'd be getting on Lynch if he's $4.

Don't go around the obvious - Ironstein wins. I think he can measure up to the Cups next year, said it since a couple of nice runs last year.

I agree also, I just had a small bet on Betfair @ $70 - he's a way better chance than that.
