It will make my life easier if only selections or messages about selection validity etc are put in this thread and discussion etc is made in the other thread.


Rules:

i) Starts 10th July
ii) Saturdays only except for the VIC meeting on the Sunday after the AFL Grand Final
iii)Qld, NSW, VIC main meeting only
iv) runs for 17 weeks until Derby Day before the Melbourne Cup

You can have a maximum of three horses each weekend as Lays.

Edit: More than three selections can be made but the first three that are still in after official scratching time are the picks. If any of those are then declared a late scratching they will not be substituted unless the player edits or re-posts before the cut off time.

Points will be awarded on the following basis:

<$2.00                        55                -45
$2.00-$$2.90              40                -60
$3.00-$$4.90              25                -75
$5.00-$9.90                15                -85
$10.00-$19.90              5                -95
$20.00 and above        0                 -100

You must have at least 17 picks over the 17 weeks to be eligible. (You don't need to pick every week just 17 in total)

Selections must be posted BEFORE the earliest start time of first race in Bris-Syd or Melb.

Only exception is the Sunday Vic meeting after the AFL Grand Final which may be posted on the Sunday BEFORE the start time of the first. You are still restricted to three selections on that weekend though.


Edit: It is OK to select more than one runner in a race.

Posting time rule will be enforced 100% - no exceptions. If the earliest start time is 11am - post must be timed at 10.59 or earlier or else it will be ignored.

EDIT: Posts may be edited as long as the edits are before the time cut off. You may make more than one selection post in a day as long as they all occur before the cut off time. Any posts edited after the cut off time will be ignored.

Players can join at any time as long as they have enough time to make 17 selections.

First prize - highest points
$100 bet on Melbourne Cup

Second prize - second highest points
$50 bet on Melbourne Cup

Third prize - third highest points
$24 box trifecta on Melbourne Cup

If the winner gets more than 300 Points, they get a bonus $24 box trifecta on the Cup.

I reserve the right to make rulings about the rules at any time as it's my money being put up.
