Trips, Did you get ya bets on for the Golden Rose early? I did - took the $5, thinking the punters would see the light eventually Yes mate, I have been backing him for the last 10 days for today and the Guineas, but I'm happy to take a point or two than where he started when he wins. I'm just holding his tail after his first up win.

Re the fav Bowman is riding like Beadman did when he made his big comeback, hit timing and slit second decision making need fine tuning, saying that without seeing what happened to Masquerader, I wouldn't take the $5 as I thought for a horse with a lot of improvement in it that was unders, when it got to$9 had to save on it, it is all about the price for me

Obviously that should have read "his" timing not hit timing and "split" second not "slit" second

I see talk of the Spring Champion. Although I backed him 80/1 in the Caulfield Guineas after his first up flop I suspect he'll still run in the CG as they talked up it as his Melb. How good/unlucky was Ilovethiscity ?

This is a race that you have to be careful with, some horses were set for it and some weren't, they just run because of the pprizemoney, some of the better runs may be from peaked horses and some "ordinary" runs may be from horses with plaenty of improvement left to come ie Econsul who was well beaten in this and won the Caulfield Guineas at a big price, also a lot of horses were knocked out in the first hundred yards

Well the winner is still on the way up (and there's been plenty of hints ). Who knows whats there, hopefully plenty more, but my mail is he's still only at 80% and on the up. Ollie got off him this week after his last fast work and said "he just wins Saturday".
