In the paper this morning Heathcote has says that he has put of the idea of putting blinkers on Buffering for the time being.  He also thought Buffering would handle the straight race well.

Very interesting race. Great to see the return of Military Rose. Dunn to ride her here then Rodd next start.

Last time somebody tipped this horse on this forum--I replied "You are Soul"  and whoever it was--got the shites over it    lol

Not my fault he/she reads it quickly    lol   lol

Its a joke FFS--its what Chuggers does on occasions.  smiley

Pretty even race this with no clear favourite. Star Witness is fairly highly rated after winning the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes, but we all know that doesn't automatically make you a star. He flopped in the Todman after that run, but impressed a few weeks ago in the Vain Stakes. I reckon he will place, but i just dont see him winning fo some reason, maybe a good lay bet at Betfair.

Soul is the one i like here. Has only had 3 starts, but he won well on debut knocking of Breitling which is good form. He also ran a head behind G1 winner Toorak Toff who went on to win the $1 million Golden Rose last week. He also likes wet tracks, so this is where my money will be going. Military Rose is also a danger, he loves the distance and had a super start to his career in Queensland.
