But if times were the main indicator, So You Think will beat Shoot Out in next month's Cox Plate by about 150 lengths.

I assume he is working that out based on 5 seconds per 400m difference, Cox Plate over 2040m?
25 seconds = about 150 lenghts
Very good journalism rolleyes

I would think with the racing prep Wallace is giving SO he wouldnt want to be going much quicker than that in his gallops anyway chin

Intruiging little race. Similar to last start? Typhoon Tracy stalked all the way by the faves. If she can't run top 3 here I would query CP chances otherwise all ok.

Very interesting to see Rundle here just not the type of thing the stable really does.

Cannot see Moonee Valley suiting Rundle in the slightest

Mooney Valley is a strange track as far as handling it goes, it is banked so sometimes horses you don't think will handle it do handle it, you can start your run a fair way out and sweep off the bank if there is no bias, last meeting there was a leader bias

I backed him at Terang over this distance and he should have probably lost it on protest, this is a touch harder  wub.

Sell your house and throw it all on Precedence at $3.15 for the place.

Only if there are no scratchings biggrin

You reckon he can beat TT/SO or WBGY ?? and you have mortgaged your house?? I certainly admire your courage if not your intelligence!

I'll be backing Typhoon Tracy here, but won't be large stakes. I think she'll be better off for her run in the Memsie. We know she can handle the Valley and i really believe she'll be too good for Shoot Out. Whobegotyou will run third.

Precedence could just slip into the money if things go his way too. He did well first up behind Jungle Ruler. Be a tough ask in this field though.

So was I Gratlog (joking I mean) I did say to run a place he would have to beat SO/TT OR WBGY, he doesn't have to beat all of them, To run a place he must beat one of them though? Good luck anyway

I can possibly see Typh Tr getting away with a slowly run race with a sprint home. But as for her being too good for Shoot Out, watching the last little bit of the Memsie, it would be a brave soul who backs her to beat SO over the extra 200m.

Whobe to be more forward in the run like he was last start?
