As luck would have it myself & the good wife will be in Paris on the 3rd October & are keen to go to the races.
Has anyone been to this event & if so is there any information you could pass on to a novice traveller who's never been to the Arc before?
I have tried accessing the official site to get tickets but it is hopelessly slow in loading.
Also I have noticed that general admission is 8 Euro but "on sellers" want up to 40 Euro per ticket & there's no gurantee the tickets would arrive in time.
Any other advice greatfully received - thanks

Kenny Callender would be turning in his grave.

He's not dead.

Was that the roughest Arc in recent memory? Any thoughts on Ryan Moore's late barging through ride?

It was a rough house race but from what I saw he got all the breaks.

T,he protest which the French call a stewards enquiry, went for over 50 minutes & unlike australian racing the next race had run before the result of the protest had been decided.
I backed Workforce on the "tote" & it paid Euro 8.60 W 5.40 P............which was very strange!
The track is extremely wide & was presented in beautiful order.
I heard that Workforce is the 1st horse to win the Derby, Arc double but I stand corrected if this is not the case.
Highly enjoyable day & I recommend it to anyone.

He's about the sixth to do the double including last years winner Sea The Stars and  Lammtarra from the nineties.

And you've missed the two best, Sea Bird II & Mill Reef.
