Interesting considering Rainbow Peak ran 2nd in a G3 last start and Campanologist has won 2 G1's in Germany and been a consistent G1 & G2 horse

Campanologist has to carry a 4 kg penalty, plus those group 1s are similar to Adelaide and West Australian group 1s compared with Victoria and NSW.

Dangerous Midge makes giant strides in Arc Trial

Report: Newbury, Friday

Dubai Duty Free Arc Trial (Group 3) 1m3f, 3yo+

OLD NEWTON CUP winner Dangerous Midge made the perfect step up to Group company as he ran away with this contest.

In what tuned out to be a very slowly run affair for a Pattern race, the dawdling pace seemed to make absolutely no difference to the Brain Meehan-trained charge, who pulled clear of odds-on favourite Rainbow Peak.

A delighted Meehan said immediatly afterwards that the Breeders' Cup Turf could now be a possibility for the winner.
