We saw Foreplay 3yo HAVATRYST win the Open 3yo at Doomben today at just his second start.  On debut he'd demolished a field of questionable quality in a mid-week Mdn at EF.

While he scored in a nail-biting finish today, it was the manner in which he won that had observers talking.  Heavily backed into favouritism on the wet track, he was hunted out by Munce from an outside draw.  He didn't get an easy lead, and was taken on by several in the straight.  But he showed rare courage to get the prize from smart filly Wonderful Lass.  Some were asking whether he'd been comfortable on the wet surface.  If he wasn't, it's bad news for his opponents.

One of our forum mates is in the ownership of HAVATRYST and cleaned up today.  (I'll leave it to him to identify himself.)  Suffice to say he enjoys a beer and I expect will be doing that right now.   lol

Marvellous to see.  Notice he avoids close ups.  That stops the coppers from doing face recognition comparisons from their most wanted lists.

Ascot I'm more closer to the coppers than you may think.
Nice to be able to call on them at times.

Spudda great photos mate...hope we're allowed to keep them up on this thread with exclusive copy laws that seem to abound these days.
