2 Maidens have won
1967 Sweet Embrace - placed twice in Metro - had another 2YO win in July
1971 Fairy Walk - Group placed in Metro prior to Slipper

Non metro track winner - not sure how you'd classify this one  (hope I don't upset anyone with that comment) 
2009 Phelan Ready - won GCTC MM 2YO Classic (R) Listed, otherwise Group placed in Metro

The rest have all been metro winners prior to the Slipper

Did I miss something? Calgary's' friend is looking at all 2 year old races prior to the slipper. Where does it say that this will find him the slipper winner?

Perhaps he is interested in the consistency of 2 year old winners.

If anyone has the stats on that it maybe a worth while investigation.

I remember reading somewhere that 2 year olds who win their first or second start have a higher chance to keep winning, but the prices on offer tend to be prohibitive.

It is not about finding the slipper winner.

And there was no bet made on todays Tamworth race.

I've been through the acceptances up to & including Monday in OZ, aside from STC & VRC as you've mentioned, there were no other 2YO races

Have noted these down for the next week:

Tuesday - Townsville
Saturday - Rosehill
Saturday - Eagle Farm x2
Saturday - Toowoomba
Saturday - Port Macquarie

The only selection so far was Smart Missile which won at Randwick on Saturday.

Belmont has the first 2yo race of the season in WA this Saturday, fields will be posted later this afternoon.

With Saturdays 2yo races at Randwick Sky, Racing Vic and a few other sources say that R1 was quicker than R2, find that very very hard to believe 

Racing NSW has race 1 57.41 race 2 58.30
