The corporates seem to be offering lots of bonuses etc this Spring.

Thought it would be handy to a thread where we can post them to make it easier to track.

Be aware that bonuses etc often have particular terms and conditions attached. Every person should fully understanding any particular bonus or special before betting and not rely simply details posted here.

Not sure why I appear to be the only recipient of that email, but it is unambiguous about the +20%.

Still nothing up on Betfair about this.

However I stress that this is an extremely good offer - evidently a risk free ~$1500, so it's amazing that this is attracting minimum interest.

what  Are you saying if you back every runner for $100 and lay every runner for a $100 layers stake you will be paid the bonus on every winner for a zero investment?

Have you actually bet and laid a winner and received the bonus? Surely they'd take the net bet as zero and not pay anything.

Wenona,

I will explain--you will get a 20% bonus on SP if and when you "opt in"---how you do that is beyond my thinking---so ring them up---and opt in--so---you back a winner on the SP---you will get paid---almost immediateily--then on Monday---you will get the 20% bonus-money for jam mate---but ya gotta back the winners--- beer

Hope this helps.

There's opt in box on the website now.   Thumb Up

I'm just a bit lost about jfc saying you can back every winner and claim the bonus with no risk.

Obviously you can't just put $100 on every runner to win at SP.

So---back the winner in R1---pays $3.00---you get paid on the $3.00--think $10 bet--$30 bucks will go into your account.

An extra 20% on the winnings--ala--$4 in this case will come to your account a few days later.

Money for Jam--but you gotta back the winners to collect.

Not quite I think, it's a guarantee price of best tote + 20% - often the Betfair SP will be above the best tote wouldn't it?

The way to do it would be to partner someone and one person lay and the other bet.

Why not? I can't see anything prohibiting that.

While I religiously avoid divulging personal information on the nosey Internet this exception may benefit public understanding.

Along with my customary non-SP Lays I made multiple SP Backs per race.

Managed to miss the best 3 races 7,8,9 costing me $953 Bonuses.

But collected $600 Bonuses on the others.

Betfair rang me up on Monday congratulating me on that $600.

Since Betfair were staring at the details, presumably they had no issue with my methods.

Anyone with $100 on all the winners today can expect a Bonus of over $3500!

Let's hope Betfair doesn't notice and continues with this initative.

I agree this is a good promotion, however, exploiting it isn't as straight forward as you make out.

You seem to assume the promotion is 20% on top of your SP price, but that isn't the case.

For example, R6 at Geelong today - the winner finished at $6.80 Bet and $7.00 Lay. The Betfair SP was declared at $6.45 and the highest tote dividend was $4.80.

The Best Tote + 20% was thus $5.76 if the 20% is on the whole divy ($5.56 if it's on the profit). So no bonus would be applied to any successful bets and anyone trying to bet at SP and Lay on the normal market would probably be out of pocket because of the low SP. If you layed late and had $100 on SP and took $100 in Lays you'd most likely end up about $100 out of pocket.

Those figures also ignore commission.

It's still exploitable but you need to realize exactly what's going on and play accordingly.

IAS have a promotion running with turfdeli.com.au at the moment.

To celebrate the 150th Melbourne Cup :
- Deposit $30 and get $150 in free bets - thats $1 for every Melbourne Cup run

Note that the $1 for every Cup run offer expires 31/10/2010, so don't try to be sneaky, wait and hope to cash it in for the 500th Cup in 2360 and expect to collect $500 in free bets. You can't fool us that easily

- New accounts only.

See http://www.turfdeli.com.au/TurfDeli150Cups.html for details, terms and conditions.

My average Lay price for that winner Milestone was a sobering $7.80.

Music to the ears of my legion of detractors.

But that was more that compensated by Scotland the Brave @$6.64 Lay, $9 Back.

And my overall Lays were into a sublime 106.6% Market.

And I happened to win on the race.

Suggesting that a broadly based strategy on such volatile markets can keep you out of significant trouble.

The Best+20% continues at MV.

But surprise surprise surprise.

The T&C appear to have magically been tweaked.

"6. Maximum qualifying stake size limited to $100 per race per customer. If more than $100 is placed on the race then the offer will apply to the first $100 only"

So those of you procrastinating have missed out on the good ole' days .
