Can someone explain to me how the #1 has to concede a half a kilo to the #3 (and the #2 for that matter)??

The more I look at it the more I think that there has been an aweful mistake.

Unless the handicapper rates a Class 1 victory at Gosford more highly than a metro Listed race placing or a city win at Sandown or Moonee Valley  what

It is set weight & penalties, so the handicapper has nothing to do with it.  However, I agree with you, I can't see what would cause it's weight to be above those 2, as the both of those wins were worth less than a metro midweek.  In the old days, the weight conditions were published, but in the last 10 years or so I have difficulty in finding what the exact conditions of these races are.

#1 mentioned above was Kirinata who just won the last at Wyong paying $14.60. Didn't forget to back him either  beer

I got $20 about him(Kirinata) on Betfair, expected him to be around $4/$5 was way overs for mine, if Perry thought he was good enough to take to Melbourne for the spring he must have thought he had some class and that had to make him a big chance at Wyong
