Be interested to see what the Holy Roman Emporer's fetch. Early days indeed, but a mate of a mate has seen him in the flesh and people up at Coolmore (apparently one fellow in particular, who supposedly doesn't wax lyrical) are a massive wrap on him. Exciting stuff.

Nah Rumpel, I just like the anticipation of seeing the progeny of highly spruiked stallions. He is a good sort with a good pedigree. Could imagine his foals will be pricey, especially those from top mares.

Just purchased, on behalf of a client, a mare with a Holy Roman Emperor foal at foot, and in foal to Rock of Gibraltor. So I hope you are correct in your assesment

Apache Cat?
Tara Madgwick - Monday, 10 January 2011
He’s not really related to Apache Cat, but when you look at this yearling there is no escaping the first horse that comes to mind.

He will be offered this Friday at the Gold Coast as Lot 549 from Arrowfield Stud, a chestnut colt by Hussonet (USA) from the stakes-winning Testa Rossa mare Sportivo.

He is the second and final foal of Sportivo, who unfortunately died last year, her first foal, a filly by Flying Spur fetching $145,000 at this sale last year when purchased by Rick Worthington.

Foaled on August 2, 2009, he was pictured here by Katrina Partridge with his mum and now he’s all grown up!.

“He’s an incredibly flashy looking horse with the white face and legs... he even has a patch under his belly and has one blue eye and one brown,” said Sam Fairgray of Arrowfield Stud.

Syndicators are certainly seeing the appeal in such an eye-catching horse, whose colouring is so similar to a great champion in Apache Cat (pictured left), a winner of 19 races and $4.5 million in prizemoney, eight of those victories at Group I level.

“Syndicators have been very interested in him as you would imagine, a horse that looks like he does sells himself to potential new racehorse owners that want something special,” Fairgray explained.

“I’m not sure exactly where the colouring comes from, but he is by a Mr Prospector line horse so he has that in common with Apache Cat as well.

“He has a great temperament and has settled in well up here although presenting a horse with four white legs in wet and muddy conditions is keeping the staff busy!”

Just had a look at the buyers and can't see any that have been purchased by Nathin Tinkler.

Has he been quiet on the buying front for a reason?
