There has been some progress in what bets can be placed, but still some options that aren't possible (in some instances probably due to software capability).

Can we get -

Cross Meeting all ups and parlays

Tabcorp allow cross meeting selections for fixed price betting - but only two legs as an all up

- can this be expanded to more than two legs

- can the all ups & parlay options be expanded to allow multi meetings (not just the one meeting), and allow tote win and or place

Unitab allow cross meeting all ups / parlays for fixed price betting, and allow up to 10 legs

- but they don't allow the same option for tote betting
For race days other than a Saturday when fixed odds only become available prior to each individual race this betting option is useless

- can the all ups & parlay options be expanded to allow multi meetings (not just the one meeting)
Can be done with fixed price options but not with tote win or place

With the expanded coverage, and so public interest in race meetings across the country every day, I've no doubt that expanded multi meeting betting options would be a significant growth area for the Tabs.

Yes good sugestion triples.

I had some success during the Spring with some parlays but we are limited as to what we can bet on.

Some good returns for little outlay if you get lucky.

You'll get most of what you ask for late 2011 triples.  The tote is the difficult one as if meetings get out of synch through delays, protests etc the 'all up' nature of the bet into a tote pool gets difficult.

I think that Sportsbet has gone backwards in a huge way since being taken over. Their prices are disgraceful and compare poorly with the TAB let alone Betfair/ Centrebet etc. But they have two enormous advantages 1) their website is the best to navigate and 2) you can do all ups across all race meetings and all sports. Funtantes x England x Tiger Woods x Manchester United x Blacks a Fake x Rafa Nadal x Sacred Kingdom. Very few restrictions.

So Sportsbet get a massive percentage of my business.

I have never done a Parlay until Grats got me involved this week. I am really enjoying them. The point is, the greater the flexibility with these options, the greater the response from punters. I like how Unitab operate on a lot of issues. Hopefully they can listen to your ideas 777.

For sport parlays I like sportingbet, especially for the NRL.

Easy to use. Not sure about the prices but being a small punter that really doesn't bother me.

Simple system for the NRL.   Pick a tipster from the paper to follow, then start by covering all the games with three 3 leg parlays.   If you get something up then increase to more legs or larger bet the following week.
Only costs around $300 for the entire season and every chance of a profit if luck is with you.
We only got one 6 legger up last year, but that paid $250+ so a profit for the year was pretty easy when you take in the other returns.

Reason my son and myself try this is that we don't have to wait for either one of us to ring our tips thru. Secret is to pick the right tipster from the paper but it also easier than having to be on the ball and this way you have someone else to blame if you lose.  Apart from the ref biggrin

Doubt they will ever allow fixed price all ups on multiple horse races, if someone fluked 5 x $20 winners for a measly $10 they would have the last leg going for over $30mill, unlikely but possible, the price restrictions would be very substantial as to make it unappealing, on the parimutual the last legs would be deep in the purple even though the Bookies had them $20 chances, how do they get around that??

Here is a eg of how you could have a ten leg all up with Unitab/Tatts if you wanted to.

Have put a few on for a bit of fun in the past , but never gone close biggrin

11:11:48 789968 * Horse Racing:NR01 F&M MAIDEN PLATE TRUTH ON TOE $1.25
         789978 * Horse Racing:NR02 C G&E MAIDEN PLATE SILENT REWARD $2.45
         789984 * Horse Racing:NR03 BM 65 HANDICAP PLC1+2 PALASPORT $2.20
         790011 * Horse Racing:NR06 MAGIC MILLIONS W PLC1+2 DEFIANT DAME $1.55
          $1 = $10.44

As stated I had some success during the Spring with a couple of small collects..think I even posted one of them on the forum somewhere.

A couple of real rough bets were declined with the message that a maximum payout of $50K was allowed.

As said good fun for a small outlay Thumb Up

Most have fine print limiting them to $50 or $100k exposure

That would be patently obvious, then why would you want to bet with them on Multiples? even 3 x 20/1 winners for a $10 outlay would exceed 50 grand, so if you are going to bet all up more than 3 bets you better back favs and keep your stake to 50 cent units!
