There has been some progress in what bets can be placed, but still some options that aren't possible (in some instances probably due to software capability).

Can we get -

Cross Meeting all ups and parlays

Tabcorp allow cross meeting selections for fixed price betting - but only two legs as an all up

- can this be expanded to more than two legs

- can the all ups & parlay options be expanded to allow multi meetings (not just the one meeting), and allow tote win and or place

Unitab allow cross meeting all ups / parlays for fixed price betting, and allow up to 10 legs

- but they don't allow the same option for tote betting
For race days other than a Saturday when fixed odds only become available prior to each individual race this betting option is useless

- can the all ups & parlay options be expanded to allow multi meetings (not just the one meeting)
Can be done with fixed price options but not with tote win or place

With the expanded coverage, and so public interest in race meetings across the country every day, I've no doubt that expanded multi meeting betting options would be a significant growth area for the Tabs.

You sound like you play those 1 cent pokies that have about 88 lines in one press of a button.

The ones where you jag 2 x 10's get paid 5 credits and the machine's bells and whistles go off saying congratulations

Bit hard to get excited when I struggle to get 3 winners lol

Now, if the morons at the TAB allowed cross state betting, that would be different

Wily, open a Qld Tatt's account. Cross state parlays with fixed odds are easy, similar set up as the corporate bookies.

All,

There's more to it than that! Unitab often pays the smallest place div .... and such a thing when multiplied is a very bad thing. For example a $10 allup on 4 $1.80 returns is $104.97 versus the ame on $1.60 is only $65.53 which is almost a 100% difference in profit...

Also any parlay can be done with individual bets when betting live. This can make a big difference eg a storm changes the conditions from good to slow during the afternoon, or the stewards crooked track rating gets changed to its proper rating as the day goes on,  or a leader bias becomes evident or one of your horses get scratched and so on.

I have only ever taken the traditional all up, e.g 4 horses to win 4 races, if all 4 don't win.. I don't collect (4 legs - formula 4, 2 legs - formula 2 etc.) For those that take the formulas where you only require 1 or 2 of the horses to win (or place) to get a return, do you find it profitable? To be honest I have always felt like it would be money wasted but would happily hear of some success stories using such a method.
Personally I have had numerous 3,4 and 5 leg all ups get home. The best being when 4 $5ish chances all got home, collected over 30k for a $50 outlay.
