Haven't seen a thread on Darryl here yet.
What are your thoughts on him?

Has had a very good start in SEQ since shifting down from Mackay with some good winners in Brisbane and a 50/1 winner at Ipswich.
From my few contacts I would describe him as knowledgeable, straight forward and is obviously a hard worker given all the travel and success in NQ.
Will obviously be looking to upgrade his stock but it would seem to be the right time for the move given recent results - expect more to come.

Darryl trainer a 1st and 3rd in a race at Ipswich, missing the Quinella in a photo.
He did train a Quinella that night at Sunny Coast.
Ended Friday with two 1sts, two 2nds and a 3rd.
I'm biased by having a horse with him, but that's an excellent day.

And just to complicate the issue a couple of hoops went with him..
Which means fewer jockeys avail. for the few Sat. meetings that cater for horses not quite up to mid-week TAB's
Out with the violin . . .
Catch 22---
Less trainers = less jockeys = less opportunities = less owners = less horses = less trainers . . . . . . . . etc, etc
Then RQ says out with a few meetings because of your inability to provide "product"
SO
less meetings = less trainers = well I think you've got the idea!!!

Pacer won last start but pulled up tight in the hamstrings so he's been having a few weeks off. The galloper ran 3rd last Friday at Ipswich and lost to his stable mate. He runs again with a bit more distance (1110m) and Doomben next Wednesday.

I think Essington is a good thing this Saturday in the feature race at Eagle Farm.
He drops 4.5kg from his last start and drew barrier 3.

I see he started fav at Ipswich, must be going well.

Another winner for Darryl today. He has certainly been going VERY well recently. I think Hussonator has won 6 in a row now for him!! Not a bad training effort, to improve a Gerald Ryan trained horse like that Would be worth more than $5k for that kind of advertisement, surely Good Luck to him

Well you could knock me down with a feather........ according to the Racing Queensland website, Mr Hansen was today notified that Hussonator has returned an irregularity to a pre race swab sample I am pretty sure Mr Hansen is a regular church goer and a very honest character so this must be a mistake. I am also sure that RQ wouldn't cover up any other positives from higher profile races
